Ken Gadd

Ken currently presents his ‘Gaddland’ show on Monday nights from 6 pm to 8 pm, with a repeat on Friday’s at 1 pm to 3 pm. The show is a mix of some ‘golden oldies’, new releases and new local and national talent.

Ken is a relative latecomer to radio broadcasting, but his life has been steeped in music from childhood. At 13, he started playing guitar and singing with friends and then bands, and has spent his life on stages performing mainly blues-rock, but with forays into jazz and folk over the years.

Ken’s work has taken him all over the world, and he has been exposed to, and very much influenced by, world music giving him rather eclectic tastes and he claims that there is no form of music that he doesn’t enjoy, as long as it is done well and from the heart.

He is an advocate of live music and musicians getting exposure to broader audiences, so on his ‘Gaddland’ show you can expect a broad mix of musical genres from rock, folk, jazz, classical and country. He is always open to hearing and supporting things he hasn’t come across yet! When not playing and presenting music, he is a keen photographer and serious cook!
